QUIZ: What kind of post-2020 Citymaker are you?

Brought to you by State of Place & Connect the Dots

Happy New Year! It’s still ok to say that right? It’s still January. Plus some of us, ahem, marked the beginning of 2021 on January 20th this year…so there!

So, in the spirit of this new year, and in light of the year that was 2020, we thought it would be a good time to check in, take stock, and reflect upon the many lessons learned…and how they’ve shaped your post-2020 outlook as a Citymaker. Certainly, the Covid19 pandemic and the Black Lives Matter protests that rightfully took root over the summer, was either a much-needed wake up call or perhaps the first time your long-standing concerns about citmaking, livability, and justice finally felt validated. It’s also clear that there will not - and should not be - a return to “normal,” as that normal was not equitable accessible to us all. So the question is, who will you be as a Citymaker in 2021 and beyond? What approaches or tools will you adopt? What new challenges will you face head on? What will be your role in creating a new narrative around what is - and should be - normal?

To help you begin to answer these important questions - and truly create your citymaking resolutions (remember, we’re really only officially a week in to the actual dawn of 2021) - we (in a collaboration with engagement firm, Connect the Dots) created what we hope is a fun, Buzzfeed-inspired quiz! So take a 5 minute break from this pandemic-induced, neverending Groundhog Day and get some answers that are probably a bit more helpful than finding out which Bridgerton character you are (come on, you know you binged it too) or whether you are indeed a snail or not.
